I have enjoyed serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area as a postpartum doula for more than 25 years, assisting and encouraging parents on their new journey. Being a mom for almost 36 years, raising and home educating my 9 children, I possess the unique ability to share what parenting looks like from newborns to adult children. My goal is for you to move toward a happy and healthy relationship with yourself, your baby, and others in your life.

My years of counseling experience have allowed me to partner with new and expectant parents to resolve the things that negatively impact their pregnancy, birth, and parenting. I have worked to use my own healing journey from childhood sexual and narcissistic abuse as a catalyst to assist parents who have similar backgrounds.

No matter where you have your baby or how you birthed your baby, those first few days and weeks are literally magical {except when its not}.  Falling in love with a new human being is one of the most powerful emotions! Sometimes, though, that falling can be a bit delayed, especially if you have experienced trauma and or abuse.  It is a season of new feelings, fears, and emotions you never knew you were capable of. Those can be magnified if there are unresolved issues at hand.

Support during this time is paramount - whether you have a background of trauma or not! I know for me, not having the support I needed after the birth of my babies made my postpartum season not as much a time of resting and getting to know my baby as it was of surviving. The questions and doubts and sleepless nights add up quickly and can become overwhelming.  Let me help you process the events in your life that may be keeping you from enjoying this time. Let me encourage you when you need it most. Let me guide you with tips and tricks and tools that have proven themselves faithful over the years of my experience.
